This antibody detects endogenous levels of total CDC7.
Target Information
CDC7 is a cell division cycle 7 homolog protein critical for the G1/S transition and essential for the initiation of DNA replication. It is expressed in many normal tissues, and its overexpression may be associated with neoplastic transformation in some tumors and transformed cell lines. The CDC7/DBF4 kinase promotes S phase progression by alleviating inhibitory activity in Mcm4. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been detected.
