Target Information
SMAD2 (MADH2, MAD2)는 세포 증식, 세포사멸, 분화 등 다양한 세포 과정의 조절에 관여합니다. SMAD2는 TGF-beta 수용체와 상호작용하여 신호 전달을 매개하며, TGF-beta 신호에 반응해 인산화되어 SMAD4와 결합 후 핵으로 이동합니다. 핵 내에서 표적 프로모터에 결합하여 전사 억제 복합체를 형성합니다. 또한 activin type 1 receptor kinase에 의해 인산화되어 activin 신호를 매개하기도 합니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변형체가 보고되어 있습니다.
