Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of ERK1/2 only when phosphorylated at Threonine 202 and Tyrosine 204.
Target Information
ERK1 and ERK2 are widely expressed kinases involved in the regulation of meiosis, mitosis, and postmitotic functions in differentiated cells. They are activated by various stimuli, including growth factors, cytokines, viral infection, and G protein-coupled receptor ligands. Upon activation through the Ras–Raf–MEK–ERK signaling cascade, ERK1/2 phosphorylate cytoplasmic targets or translocate to the nucleus to activate transcription factors such as c-Fos and Elk-1.
