Troponin 단백질은 트로포미오신과 결합하여 횡문근의 근수축 조절에 관여합니다. Troponin I (TnI)은 억제 서브유닛으로, 액틴-미오신 상호작용을 차단하여 근육 이완을 매개합니다. TnI 서브패밀리는 세 가지 유전자로 구성되며, 각각 빠른 수축근, 느린 수축근, 심근에서 발현됩니다. 이 항체는 느린 수축근 특이적 Troponin I1 단백질을 인식합니다.
