Target Information
The DPEP1 protein is a kidney membrane enzyme involved in the metabolism of glutathione and similar proteins through dipeptide hydrolysis. It regulates leukotriene activity by converting leukotriene D4 to leukotriene E4. This zinc-dependent protein acts as a disulfide-linked homodimer. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
