Target Information
ATP1b2 is the non-catalytic component of the Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme complex, which catalyzes ATP hydrolysis coupled with the exchange of Na⁺ and K⁺ ions across the plasma membrane.
The beta-2 subunit’s exact function remains unclear, but it is known to mediate cell adhesion between neurons and astrocytes and promote neurite outgrowth.
