SNX29, also known as RUNDC2A, is a 375 amino acid protein containing one RUN domain.
RUNDC2A is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 16p13.13, which contains over 900 genes and accounts for nearly 3% of the human genome.
Mutations in genes on chromosome 16, such as GAN, are associated with disorders including giant axonal neuropathy, Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, and Crohn’s disease.
