Target Information
Membrane-associated guanylate kinase with inverted orientation (MAGI3) is a novel 130 kDa guanylate kinase belonging to a family of multi-PDZ domain containing guanylate kinases. These kinases localize to epithelial cell tight junctions. MAGI3 interacts with PTEN/MMAC to modulate AKT/protein kinase B (PKB) activity by positioning PTEN/MMAC at subcellular sites involved in cell proliferation and survival regulation. MAGI3 and related proteins contain:
- N-terminal guanylate kinase domain
- WW domain with conserved tryptophan residues
- Five PDZ domains
