The 11-44-2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the alpha heavy chain of mouse IgA and does not cross-react with other immunoglobulin classes (IgD, IgG, IgM).
IgA exists in membrane-bound and soluble dimeric forms. PE-conjugated 11-44-2 is used as a detection secondary antibody for mouse IgA.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric detection of surface IgA on mouse B cells.
• Applications Tested: Validated for flow cytometry at ≤0.2 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal concentration should be titrated per assay.
• Excitation: 488–561 nm
• Emission: 578 nm

Target Information

Mouse IgA is an immunoglobulin A antibody produced by B cells in response to antigen exposure. It plays a crucial role in the mucosal immune system, protecting against pathogens entering through respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urogenital tracts.
Composed of two heavy and two light chains, IgA is the predominant immunoglobulin in mucosal secretions and is essential for pathogen neutralization and prevention of mucosal attachment.
Mouse IgA is widely used in research and diagnostic assays such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
