Target Information
Midline-1 (Tripartite motif-containing protein 18, Putative transcription factor XPRF, RING finger protein 59)는 인간 MID1 유전자에 의해 암호화된 667 아미노산 단백질입니다. TRIM/RBCC 계열에 속하며 두 개의 B box-type zinc finger, 하나의 B30.2/SPRY 도메인, 하나의 COS 도메인, 하나의 fibronectin type-III 도메인, 하나의 RING-type zinc finger를 포함합니다. Midline-1은 단백질 인산화효소 2의 촉매 서브유닛을 분해 대상으로 하는 E3 유비퀴틴 리가아제 활성을 가지는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 세포질 내에서 Midline-2와 동종 또는 이종 이합체 형태로 존재하며, IGBP1(lymphocyte signaling protein A4)과 상호작용합니다. MID1 결함은 Opitz syndrome type I(OS-I)의 원인으로, 이 질환은 안면 중앙부 이상, 생식기관 결함, 구개열, 기관지 이상, 심장 결함 등을 특징으로 합니다.
