Target Information
CD21 (complement receptor 2, CR2, C3D receptor, EBV receptor)는 C3 보체 조각, 특히 활성화된 보체 표면이나 항원에 공유 결합된 분해 조각을 인식하고 결합합니다.
이 단백질은 면역 복합체의 흡수 및 유지, 기억 B세포의 생존, T-의존성 항원에 대한 체액성 면역 반응의 발달과 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
또한 CD21은 Epstein-Barr 바이러스(EBV)의 주요 수용체로 작용하며, 프리온을 여포 수지상세포로 전달하고 신경 침입을 촉진하는 데 관여합니다.
용해형 CD21(sCD21)은 림프구 표면에서 떨어져 나와 리간드 결합 기능을 유지합니다.
CD21은 C3d, C3dg, iC3b 보체 성분, EBV, IFNα의 수용체로 작용하며, CD23과 결합하고 CD19, CD81, Leu13과 함께 B세포 활성화에 관여하는 신호전달 복합체를 형성합니다.
CD21 유전자 변이는 전신홍반루푸스 9형(SLEB9) 감수성과 관련이 있습니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 존재하며, 서로 다른 이소폼을 암호화합니다.
