Product Specific Information

Chicken anti-rat antibodies react with IgG heavy chains and all classes of immunoglobulin light chains from rat.
Chicken secondary antibodies show reduced nonspecific binding because they lack the classical Fc domain and therefore do not bind to protein A, protein G, or mammalian IgG Fc receptors.
Product is shipped at room temperature.

Target Information

Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified with well-characterized specificity for rat immunoglobulins.
They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target molecules.
Secondary antibodies enhance detection versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to one primary antibody.
Typically, they are produced by immunizing the host with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, label conjugation) for high specificity.
