Target Information
ZNF169 (Zinc finger protein 169) is a 603 amino acid nuclear protein containing one KRAB domain and thirteen C2H2-type zinc fingers. ZNF169 is highly expressed in kidney and weakly expressed in spleen, liver, small intestine, and heart, where it functions as a transcription regulator.
The gene encoding ZNF169 maps to human chromosome 9q22, a region associated with diseases such as colon cancer, migraine auras, basal cell carcinoma, Gorlin syndrome, and extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma.
