Target Information
IRX5 establishes the cardiac repolarization gradient by repressing the KCND2 potassium-channel gene.
It is required for retinal cone bipolar cell differentiation and may regulate contrast adaptation and visual function in mammalian retina circuits.
IRX5 could be involved in the regulation of cell cycle and apoptosis in prostate cancer cells, as well as in craniofacial and gonadal development.
It modulates migration of progenitor cell populations in branchial arches and gonads by repressing CXCL12.
