이 세포접착분자는 신경계 발달 과정에서 신경세포 이동 및 분화에 중요한 역할을 하며, CRASH 증후군(corpus callosum hypoplasia, retardation, aphasia, spastic paraplegia, hydrocephalus)과 관련된 X-연관 돌연변이로 알려져 있습니다.
