TESPA1은 TCR 신호복합체의 핵심 구성요소로, T 세포 발달 중 TCR 신호 조절을 통해 T 세포 선택 및 성숙에 필수적인 단백질입니다. TESPA1은 458개의 아미노산으로 구성되며 척추동물 사이에서 높은 보존성을 보입니다. TESPA1 발현은 T 세포 발달 과정 중 DP 단계에서 가장 높으며, TESPA1 결핍 시 양성 선택 실패와 함께 CD4+ 및 CD8+ SP 세포 수가 현저히 감소합니다.
