Target Information

NDUFB11 is an accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), not directly involved in catalysis. It functions in electron transfer from NADH to the respiratory chain and is located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. The immediate electron acceptor is believed to be ubiquinone.
NDUFB11 exhibits NADH dehydrogenase and oxidoreductase activities.
Defects in NDUFB11 are associated with linear skin defects with multiple congenital anomalies and mitochondrial complex I deficiency.
