Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
This gene encodes an RNA-binding protein involved in growth regulation. It is present in pre-ribosomal ribonucleoprotein complexes and may play a role in ribosome assembly and rRNA processing. The protein interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of the ErbB3 receptor and contributes to transducing growth regulatory signals. It also acts as a transcriptional co-repressor of androgen receptor-regulated genes and other cell cycle regulatory genes via interactions with histone deacetylases. EBP1 has been implicated in growth inhibition and differentiation induction of human cancer cells. Six pseudogenes are located on chromosomes 3, 6, 9, 18, 20, and X.
