Disheveled DVL2는 dishevelled (dsh) 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, 척추동물의 dsh 단백질은 Drosophila dsh와 약 40% 아미노산 서열 유사성을 가집니다.
이 유전자는 90-kDa 단백질을 암호화하며, 번역 후 인산화 과정을 거쳐 95-kDa 세포질 단백질로 전환됩니다.
