Target Information
ADCK3 serine/threonine kinase is a mitochondrial protein similar to yeast ABC1 that belongs to the ADCK family.
CABC1 encodes a mitochondrial protein functioning in an electron-transferring membrane protein complex within the respiratory chain.
It is not related to the ABC transporter protein family. Expression of this gene is induced by tumor suppressor p53 and in response to DNA damage. Inhibiting its expression partially suppresses p53-induced apoptosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
