Product Specific Information
This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Human ADAM15.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase) family. ADAM proteins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins involved in cell adhesion and proteolytic ectodomain processing of cytokines and adhesion molecules.
This protein includes multiple functional domains:
- Zinc-binding metalloprotease domain
- Disintegrin-like domain
- EGF-like domain
Through its disintegrin-like domain, this protein interacts with the integrin beta chain (β3) and Src family protein-tyrosine kinases in a phosphorylation-dependent manner, suggesting roles in cell-cell adhesion and cellular signaling. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
For Research Use Only.
Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
