This antibody has specificity for Human KIR2DL4/CD158D.
Target Information
CD158d / KIR2DL4 is a member of the KIR family that shares structural features with both activating and inhibitory receptors, mediating different functions under various conditions. It contains a cytoplasmic ITIM suggesting inhibitory function, but also has a transmembrane domain similar to activating KIRs. CD158d serves as an inhibitory receptor for peripheral and uterine NK cells, but ligation with soluble mAbs (unlike immobilized mAbs) can activate IFN-gamma secretion. It binds both membrane and soluble forms of its ligand HLA-G.
