Product Specific Information

Description:
Monoclonal mouse IgG2b, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

Applications Reported:
Mouse IgG2b Isotype Control Super Bright 645 is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 645 is a tandem dye excited with the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 645 nm. Recommended to use a 660/20 bandpass filter. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Staining Panel Recommendation:
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays an important role in the adaptive immune response.
It is composed of two heavy and two light chains and is involved in:

• Opsonization
• Complement activation
• Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
• Regulation of immune responses (T cell activation, B cell inhibition)
