Product Specific Information
PA1-901 detects inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor type-I (IP3R-I) from canine, mouse, and rat tissues.
It has been successfully used in Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~240 kDa protein representing IP3R-I from rat and mouse brain extract.
Immunohistochemical staining of IP3R-I in rat cerebellum results in staining of Purkinje cells.
The immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 1829–1848 from human IP3R-I, which are completely conserved in human, mouse, and rat.
The peptide (Cat. # PEP-019) is available for neutralization and control experiments.
Target Information
Intracellular channel mediating calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum following stimulation by inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate.
Involved in regulating epithelial secretion of electrolytes and fluid via interaction with AHCYL1.
Plays a role in ER stress-induced apoptosis. Cytoplasmic calcium released from the ER activates CaM kinase II, leading to downstream apoptosis pathways.
