Target Information
DNA ligase IV는 ATP 의존적인 반응을 통해 이중가닥 DNA의 단일가닥 절단을 연결하는 효소입니다. 이 단백질은 V(D)J 재조합 및 비상동성 말단 연결(NHEJ)을 통한 DNA 이중가닥 절단 복구에 필수적입니다. XRCC4와 복합체를 형성하며, DNA-PK와 상호작용합니다. XRCC4 및 DNA-PK는 NHEJ에 필요합니다. 해당 복합체의 결정 구조가 규명되었으며, 이 유전자의 결함은 LIG4 증후군을 유발합니다. 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 관찰되었습니다.
