Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

MaxiK channels are large conductance, voltage- and calcium-sensitive potassium channels essential for controlling smooth muscle tone and neuronal excitability. These channels consist of a pore-forming alpha subunit and a modulatory beta subunit.
The KCNMB2 gene encodes an auxiliary beta subunit that decreases the activation time of MaxiK alpha subunit currents. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, with additional variants described in literature.
