Target Information
cGAS (Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase)는 ATP와 GTP로부터 cyclic GMP-AMP (cGAMP)를 생성하는 뉴클레오티딜전이효소로, 선천면역 반응에서 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
이 효소는 GpA 단계에서 2’,5’ 포스포디에스터 결합을, ApG 단계에서 3’,5’ 포스포디에스터 결합을 형성하여 c[G(2’,5’)pA(3’,5’)p]를 생성합니다.
cGAS는 세포질 내 DNA를 직접 결합하여 cGAMP 합성을 유도하며, 이는 TMEM173/STING을 활성화시켜 type-I interferon 생성을 촉진합니다.
