Target Information
Putative Polycomb group (PcG) protein. PcG proteins form multiprotein complexes required to maintain transcriptional repression of homeotic genes during development. They act via histone methylation, maintaining heritable chromatin states.
Involved in transcriptional regulation mediated by ligand-bound nuclear hormone receptors such as PPARG. Acts as a coactivator for PPARG, enhancing adipocyte differentiation-inducing activity through differential recruitment of acetylated and methylated histone H3.
