Product Specific Information

Description:
The W6/32 monoclonal antibody reacts with human MHC class I antigens (HLA-A, B, C). These antigens, associated with beta 2-microglobulin, are expressed by all nucleated human cells and are essential for cell-mediated immune response and tumor surveillance. The W6/32 clone recognizes a non-polymorphic epitope shared among HLA-A, B, and C loci and immunoprecipitates 43 kDa and 11–12 kDa chains. Cross-reactivity has been observed in baboon, rhesus, and cynomolgus monkey.

• Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells

Fixation:

• Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness or FRET efficiency

Target Information

HLA-class I MHC antigens are intrinsic membrane glycoproteins expressed on nucleated cells and noncovalently associated with beta2 microglobulin. These molecules present foreign peptides for immune recognition by cytotoxic T cells, playing a crucial role in antiviral and antitumor immunity. HLA-class I includes HLA-A, HLA-B, and HLA-C molecules.

HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, aiding in the identification and characterization of neoantigens via high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.
