Target Information

The CTNNBL1 protein is a component of the pre-mRNA-processing factor 19–cell division cycle 5-like (PRP19-CDC5L) complex, which activates pre-mRNA splicing and is integral to the spliceosome. It serves as a nuclear localization sequence binding protein, interacting with activation-induced deaminase and playing a role in antibody diversification. This gene may be associated with obesity development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, and a pseudogene exists on the X chromosome. Diseases associated with CTNNBL1 include Immunodeficiency 99 with Hypogammaglobulinemia and Autoimmune Cytopenias.
