Target Information
The Rhomboid family of proteins comprises widely conserved polytopic membrane serine proteases involved in growth and development.
RHBDD2’s role is not well understood, but its overexpression in breast carcinoma is associated with poor prognosis and may contribute to cancer progression.
Related proteins RHBDD1 and RHBDD3 regulate apoptosis, suggesting RHBDD2 may also modulate apoptotic activity.
