RDBP는 RNA polymerase II 전사 연장을 억제하는 negative elongation factor (NELF) 복합체의 구성 요소입니다. 이 단백질은 핵 RNA 결합 단백질과 유사하지만, 실제 RNA 결합 여부는 확인되지 않았습니다. 주로 아르기닌(R)과 아스파르트산(D)이 교대로 배열된 염기성 및 산성 잔기 구간을 포함합니다.
