SULT1C2는 SULT1 하위군에 속하며, PAPS로부터 페놀 화합물로 황산기를 전달하는 역할을 합니다. 특히 hydroxyarylamines에 특이성을 가지며, p-nitrophenol 및 N-hydroxy-2-acetylaminofluorene의 황산화를 촉매하지만 dopamine에는 작용하지 않습니다.
