Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse LDLR/LDL Receptor.
Target Information
The low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDL-R) gene family encodes cell surface proteins involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis of specific ligands. LDL binds at the cell membrane and is internalized, leading to cholesterol release and regulation of HMG CoA reductase activity. Mutations in LDL-R cause familial hypercholesterolemia. LDL-R, along with SCARB1, CLDN1, and CD81, has been identified as an entry factor for Hepatitis C virus. Multiple isoforms of LDL-R are known.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
