• For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.

Target Information

KRT16 is a member of the keratin gene family. Keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells. They are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins.
Most type I cytokeratins are acidic proteins paired with heterotypic keratin chains and clustered on chromosome 17q12–q21.
KRT16 is coexpressed with keratin 14 in epithelial tissues such as esophagus, tongue, and hair follicles.
Mutations in KRT16 are associated with type 1 pachyonychia congenita, non-epidermolytic palmoplantar keratoderma, and unilateral palmoplantar verrucous nevus.
