- In direct ELISAs, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat Serpin A6 is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Serpin A1 and Serpin A5.
- In Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Serpin A4 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
This gene encodes an alpha-globulin protein with corticosteroid-binding properties. It is the major transport protein for glucocorticoids and progestins in the blood of most vertebrates. The gene localizes to a chromosomal region containing several closely related serine protease inhibitors, which may have evolved by duplication events.
