Target Information
ICAD (Inhibitor of Caspase-3-Activated DNase)는 핵 내 세포사멸 조절에 관여하는 단백질로, 두 가지 isoform(ICAD-L/DFF45, ICAD-S/DFF35)을 가집니다. ICAD는 CAD와 복합체를 형성하여 DNase 활성을 억제하며, caspase-3에 의해 절단되어 CAD 활성화를 유도합니다. ICAD는 CAD의 접힘을 돕는 샤페론으로도 작용하며, 대장암 및 뇌암 세포에서 정상적인 세포사멸 신호 회복의 잠재적 표적 단백질로 보고되고 있습니다. ICAD 유전자는 두 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변이체를 통해 서로 다른 isoform을 생성합니다.
