Target Information
RAB21은 Ras 초가족에 속하는 소형 GTP 결합 단백질 유전자 아형으로, 세포 내 소포 수송에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 비극성 Caco-2 세포에서는 주로 소포체(ER)와 유사한 위치에 존재하며, 극성이 있는 세포에서는 apical vesicle에 국한됩니다. RAB21은 integrin 소단위와 결합하여 RAB5/RAB21 endosome을 통한 수용체의 세포 내 유입에 관여합니다. 또한 GTPase-activating protein p120RasGAP은 endocytosed integrin의 세포막 복귀를 조절하여 세포 이동성을 제어하며, 이는 RAB21과 integrin α-tail의 결합 경쟁을 통해 이루어집니다.
