Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes a 60 kDa non-glycosylated protein component of mitochondria found in normal and malignant human cells.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10–20 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Recommended positive controls: HeLa cells and liver tissue.
Target Information
Antibodies that recognize subcellular organelles or compartments of human cells are useful in identifying these organelles in cells, tissues, and biochemical preparations.
Anti-mitochondria antibodies can be used to stain mitochondria in cell or tissue preparations and serve as markers in subcellular fraction studies.
