Target Information
BUBR1는 Ser/Thr 단백질 키나아제 계열에 속하며, 세포 분열 시 염색체가 방추사에 제대로 부착될 때까지 anaphase를 지연시키는 유사분열 체크포인트의 구성 요소입니다. 스핀들 체크포인트의 손상은 세포의 악성 변형을 유도할 수 있는 유전적 불안정성과 관련이 있습니다.
인간 세포에는 BUB1 유전자에서 유래한 두 관련 단백질 키나아제가 있으며, hBUBR1과 hBUB1은 모두 방추체 체크포인트의 핵심 구성 요소로 작용합니다. hBUBR1은 세포가 너무 일찍 anaphase로 진입하지 않도록 방지하며, 여러 암세포에서 발현이 보고되었습니다. 또한 BUBR1은 BCSG1(Breast Cancer-Specific Gene 1)의 결합 파트너로 확인되어, 유사분열 체크포인트 억제를 통해 유방암 진행을 가속화할 수 있는 것으로 제안되었습니다.
