Target Information
The protein encoded by the MAGI1 gene belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologue (MAGUK) family. MAGUK proteins help assemble multiprotein complexes on the inner surface of the plasma membrane at cell-cell contact regions. MAGI1 may function as a scaffolding protein at cell junctions. Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms.
