Target Information
TDP1 단백질은 stalled topoisomerase I-DNA 복합체를 복구하는 효소로, topoisomerase I의 tyrosine 잔기와 DNA의 3'-phosphate 사이의 phosphodiester 결합을 가수분해합니다. 또한 DNA의 3'-phosphoglycolate에서 glycolate를 제거하여 free-radical에 의해 유도된 DNA double-strand break 복구에 관여할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자는 phospholipase D 패밀리에 속하며 두 개의 PLD phosphodiesterase 도메인을 포함합니다. 변이는 spinocerebellar ataxia with axonal neuropathy (SCAN1) 질환과 관련이 있습니다. 주요 두 전사 변이가 알려져 있으며 동일한 isoform을 암호화합니다.
