Target Information
FGF2 (FGFb, fibroblast growth factor basic)는 FGF 패밀리에 속하며, 세포 증식과 혈관신생을 조절하는 고친화성 수용체와 결합합니다.
FGF2는 서로 다른 세포 내 위치와 기능을 가진 5가지 아이소폼으로 존재합니다. 18 kDa 아이소폼은 주로 세포질에 존재하며 수용체를 통해 작용하고, 22, 22.5, 24, 34 kDa 아이소폼은 핵 내에서 수용체 비의존적으로 작용합니다.
FGF2 유전자는 인간 4번 염색체 q arm에 위치하며, 사지 및 신경계 발달, 상처 치유, 종양 성장 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에 관여합니다.
FGF2 mRNA는 여러 polyadenylation 부위를 가지며, AUG 및 비-AUG 시작 코돈에서 번역되어 서로 다른 특성을 가진 5가지 아이소폼을 생성합니다.
CUG에서 시작된 아이소폼은 핵 내에 존재하며 intracrine 효과를 담당하고, AUG에서 시작된 형태는 주로 세포질에 존재하며 paracrine 및 autocrine 작용을 담당합니다.
FGF2 이상은 Kaposi Sarcoma 및 각막 신생혈관증과 연관되어 있습니다.
