Target Information
GPR83 is a 423 amino acid protein and an orphan member of the GPCR family, closely related to tachykinin and NPY receptors. It is a human homolog of the mouse GIR protein, expressed and selectively upregulated in the brain. GPR83 is a cell surface receptor with a seven-transmembrane domain and may be involved in immune tolerance regulation by inducing peripheral generation of Foxp3+ Treg cells.
