Target Information
CD21 (complement receptor 2, CR2, C3D receptor, EBV receptor)는 C3 보체 절편과 결합하며, 면역복합체의 흡수 및 유지, 메모리 B 세포 생존, T-의존성 항원에 대한 체액성 면역 반응의 발달과 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 Epstein-Barr 바이러스의 주요 결합 수용체로 작용하며, 프리온을 여포성 수지상세포로 표적화하여 신경 침투를 촉진하는 데 관여합니다. 용해형 CD21(sCD21)은 림프구 표면에서 절단되어 리간드 결합 능력을 유지합니다. CD21은 C3d, C3dg, iC3b 보체 성분 및 EBV, IFNα에 대한 수용체로 기능하며, CD23과 결합하고 CD19, CD81, Leu13과 함께 B 세포 활성화에 관여하는 신호전달 복합체를 형성합니다. CD21 유전자의 변이는 전신홍반루푸스(type 9, SLEB9) 감수성과 관련이 있습니다. 다양한 이형체를 암호화하는 대체 스플라이싱 전사체도 보고되었습니다.
