Target Information
EDG7 (LPAR3) is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family and the EDG family of proteins.
This receptor acts as a cellular receptor for lysophosphatidic acid and mediates lysophosphatidic acid-evoked calcium mobilization.
It predominantly couples to G(q/11) alpha proteins.
EDG7 expression has been reported in:
- Human prostate
- Rodent brain, kidney, lung, placenta, prostate, and testis
Expressed sequence tags (ESTs) have been isolated from normal prostate library and cancer libraries of the head/neck, ovary, and thyroid.
