Target Information
MAP2K3 (MEK3)는 세포 신호 전달 경로에서 작용하는 dual-specificity protein kinase로, glucose transporter의 발현에 필수적입니다. 이 효소는 MAPK14/p38-MAPK를 인산화 및 활성화하며, 인슐린에 의해 활성화될 수 있습니다. RAS 온코진 발현은 MEK3의 활성형 축적을 유도하여 MAPK14의 지속적 활성화를 초래하고, 종양 변환을 유발할 수 있습니다. 또한 Yersinia pseudotuberculosis의 병인 과정에서 이 효소의 억제가 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. MEK3는 여러 대체 스플라이싱 변이체를 통해 다양한 이소폼을 생성합니다.
