STK24 (MST3)는 STE20 유사 단백질의 GCK 하위군에 속하는 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로, 효모의 Sterile 20 (STE20) 유전자는 MAPK 경로 상류에서 작용합니다. 포유류에서는 STE20 관련 단백질이 구조와 조절 방식에 따라 두 하위군으로 나뉘며, PAK 하위군은 C-말단 촉매 도메인과 N-말단의 CDC42 결합 조절 도메인을 갖습니다. 반면 GCK 하위군은 N-말단 촉매 도메인과 CDC42 결합 도메인이 없는 C-말단 조절 도메인을 가집니다. STK24는 이러한 GCK 하위군에 속합니다.
