PLEKHM1은 Pleckstrin homolog domain을 포함한 M family 단백질군의 일원으로, RUN domain, 두 개의 PH domain, 그리고 cysteine-rich domain을 포함합니다. 인간의 골경화증(osteopetrosis) 원인으로 확인되었으며, Rab7과 함께 후기 엔도좀/리소좀 소포에 공동 위치합니다. PLEKHM1 변이체는 소포 산성화 장애와 TRACP 분비 증가를 유발하여, 골세포 간 상호작용에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
