Product Specific Information
The YGIC86 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Glycoprotein A Repetitions Predominant (GARP, also known as Lrrc32 or Garpin). GARP is an approximately 80 kDa glycoprotein expressed on the cell surface. Expression has been reported in placenta, lung, kidney, heart, ovary, liver, skeletal muscle, and pancreas, and on megakaryocytes, platelets, and activated regulatory T (Treg) cells.
GARP expression on Treg cells is necessary for their suppressive function and may act as a receptor for LAP/TGF beta.
- When analyzing GARP expression on platelets, use the Foxp3 Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523) for fixation prior to staining.
- Fixation/permeabilization is not required for Treg staining.
- YGIC86 does not cross-react with rat GARP.
- Reported application: Flow cytometric analysis.
- Tested with stimulated mouse splenocytes at ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
- Recommended careful titration for optimal assay performance.
Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 is excited by a 405 nm violet laser and emits at 436 nm. Use a 450/50 bandpass filter or equivalent. Ensure the instrument supports this fluorochrome.
Panel Consideration:
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product #SB-4401) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information
GARP (Leucine Rich Repeat Containing 32) is a type I membrane protein with 22 leucine-rich repeats and a short cytoplasmic tail. Identified via gene expression profiling of Treg and Th cells post-TCR stimulation, it is expressed in CD4+, CD25+, FoxP3+ Treg cells, serving as a potential surface marker for Tregs.
